Samenvatting
Detailed information on experience of the Institut für Strassen- und Untertagbau an der Eidgenössischen Technischen Hochschule (ISETH) with the use of the Skiddometer is given. The frequency distribution of braking force coefficients as obtained from testing 220 road surfacings of different types, serves as a representative background with which subsequent test results can be compared and ranked. Based on the same distribution, minimum and guide values of skid resistance have been derived.
