The different vehicles expose the human being to mechanical vibrations, which can endanger his comfort, his working capacity and in certain circumstances his health and safety. This international standard defines the numerical values of limits of exposure in the case of vibrations transmitted to the human body by surfaces and in the range of frequencies from 1 to 80 Hz.
