These standards have been compiled to assist the barrier rail designer to develop a system, responsive to his needs, from standard components. The parts shwon in this publication fil all requirements of the flexible, semi- rigid, and rigid systems of nchrp report 54 "location, selection, and maintenance of highway guardrails and median barriers". The standard parts drawings are assembled into three basic functional categories: fasteners, post, and rail elements. There is an index to standard parts by numeric sequence and by standard barrier system. (Author/publisher)
