This publication is a summary of current Swedish practice concerning the geometric design of urban roads, Firstly it deals with the method of deriving the guidelines and then presents the areas of classification of roads,basic design criteria, cross sectional elements,alignment elements, junctions and turning bays, pedestrian and cycle ways and bus traffic elements.
