This study compares a number of options for high public transport in the south east Netherlands: between Best, Eindhoven and Helmond. Train, light rail and bus were compared on total public transport use, use of the service itself and required infrastructure. The different options increase public transport use by 2 to 7%. Light rail increases public transport use the most, but the number of passengers per vehicle are low and infrastructure cost will be very high. This means that a better spread of current train services between Best and Eindhoven and a new station at Brandevoort are the best improvements. (A)
