Samenvatting
The syncope can have many causes, which are described briefly in this article. As far as they are caused by cardiac diseases they cannot be prevented. The other causes can hit us all. To prevent danger in traffic a driver who has peaks of dizziness should be thoroughly checked regarding possible cardiac disorder. A pacemaker does not cause danger, but the reason for the pacemaker may be the cause of danger. It is not known how many accidents are caused by syncopes.
