Samenvatting
Neurophysiologic and biomechanical methods were used to evaluate axial tension applied to the cervical spinal cord and brain during impact or inertial loading. A mathematical model was developed using a lumped parameter torso, head and helmet capable of simulating displacement and time dependent applied loads.
