Samenvatting
The proceedings of a 21- member conference on medical aspects of head protective devices for motorcyclists are thematically reviewed. Presentations at the conference deal with helmet design, manufacture, and testing, the severity of non-fatal head injuries to cyclists, research of the multidisciplinary accident investigation (MDAI) team at the Univ. of Southern California, accident data research in Ottawa, Canada, and the severe temporal and facial injuries associated with motorcycle crash injuries.
