An overview is given of a number of studies done into the optimalization of traffic information by radio or by telephone. The main purpose was to study in how far the information is understood and remembered, without the presence of an additional task as driving a car. It is shown that the nowadays radio traffic information is selected and understood badly. For the appendices to this study see PB 28257.
