Samenvatting
This article describes a new, simple method to calculate the equivalent sound level of road traffic noise by means of a disk calculator. An attempt is made to show the position of this calculation method. Traffic noise should be seen as an aspect of the environmental effect of traffic. A purely quantitative approach of the environmental evaluation, such as is possible for traffic noise, seems to be ill founded at the moment.
