Samenvatting
The city of Darlington (GB) was selected as the location of an experiment on the general reduction of city noise. Extensive before and after studies were carried out to investigate the most important sources of noise. Several working groups were established on various aspects of the problem. The author deals with the reduction of noise levels and the improvement of the quality of the environment, especially were traffic is concerned. The article is a report on the noise Seminar, witch was held at Darlington In September, 1978.
