Samenvatting
This paper gives the first results of a study on the mobility related to lease cars, i.c. long term rental of cars. A definition of a lease car is given and popular forms of leasing are described. Then the supply side of the lease car market in the Netherlands is analysed. Next the demand of lease cars is dealt with; in particular, the factors determining this demand are identified. Special attention is paid to the new tax- legislation which will be introduced next year.
