Samenvatting
Road congestion and environmental problems caused by increasing car use force Dutch government to take measures in order to induce people to change their travel behaviour. In this paper it is argued that the proposed measures are inadequate to attain policy aims. Some other measures are presented that can be applied partly as alternative partly as additional instruments.
