Samenvatting
A number of aspects in the field of traffic engineering which correlate with the transport of heavy freight is discussed. The consequences of freight transport on the highway design, consequences on the traffic flow, the nature and magnitude of the lack of traffic safety of the freight transport and side effects like energy consumption, wind hindrance by and for freight transport and vehicle handling are taken into account.
