In an attempt to reduce the large number of motor vehicle accidents occurring annually throughout the U.S., many safety improvement programs have been initiated. One such program involves minor safety improvements at rural high- accident locations in Kentucky. The primary purpose of this study was to determine the overall effectiveness of the spot- improvement program in Kentucky.
