Information is cited on highway paints and painting, zone markings, pavement striping, traffic lane markings, roadway edge markings, and road stripes. Discussions are made of retroreflective buttons, beaded stripes, paint properties and composition, wet road conditions, night visibility, pavement properties, weathering, thermoplastics, and other materials. Attention is also given to motorist behaviour and traffic safety. 18 of the 102 abstracts in this updated bibliography are new entries to the previous edition.
