Highway route designation criteria for bicycle routes: Final report.

The purpose of this project was to conduct a survey of the literature and state- of- the- art related to bicycle route se- lection and designation and to develop a synthesized set of factors for use by state and local transportation officials and other agencies and organizations involved in the selec- tion and designation of streets and highways for bike use. The results of the project are presented in a final report and handbook.
