Samenvatting
The temporary switch-off of traffic signals can prevent sound pollution in residential areas caused by the acceleration and deceleration of vehicles, can prevent unnecessary waiting times, but can cause confusion- in particular for the pedestrian. Also some energy conservation can be obtained. Recommendations for this temporary switch-off are presented.
