Samenvatting
The accessibility of railway stations with slow transport modes (bicycle, foot) is one of the current policy interests of the Dutch government. To this end a study has been initiated in Delft, a middle-sized Dutch town, to investigate the effects of bicycle enhancement measures. Part of these measures is the construction of a bicycle underpass under the station crossing the railway line. This paper presents initial results of a survey into the travel behaviour of train users, especially with respect to bicycle use in access and egress to the station.
