How to cope with new technologies in physical planning: Telecommunication and the future of the Randstad Holland. RUVEIN-Telecommunicatie in de ruimtelijke ordening.

This paper is about the way a studygroup of the National Physical Planning Agency of the Netherlands actually deals with telecommunication networks (RUVEIN-approach). Two "strategic" questions have been selected for discussion, one concerning the relationship between telecommunication infrastructure and the spatial distribution of economic activities, the other related to the management of uncertainty.
