How does independent mobility affect the intellectual, social and emotional development of physically disabled pre-school children and the whole family situation?

The aim of the study was to look if independent mobility (in the form of small electrically driven mobility aids) could affect the cognitive, social and emotional development of disabled preschool children. The most important effect according to the parents was the children's increased self-confidence and their physical and psychological independence.
