The human ear in an air bag noise environs.

This study evaluate the potential acoustic hazard, caused by air bag inflation, on 91 volunteer subjects. Results indicate that the impulsive noise is very loud, however, the probability of harm to the auditory perception of vehicle occupants may be considered to be extremely small.
