Human factors engineering considerations in systems development. Paper presented at the Symposium held in Amsterdam, September 1969, sponsored by the International Ergonomics Association.

The purpose of this paper is fourfold. First the life cycle in the design and development of a typical system is described. Second, the nature of human factors engineering requirements are mentioned. Third, the requirements are related to the systems development cycle and finally a brief evaluation is made of the tools and information available to the human factors engineer.
