Established in 1956 the IAM is Britain’s leading independent road safety charity. As a new decade begins the new government has a key role to play in reducing the toll of death and injury on our roads. The UK has one of the world’s best road safety records but for groups such as young adults road crashes remain the most likely cause of early death or life changing injury. The IAM believes the vast majority of these deaths and injuries are preventable and that action in seven key areas will deliver sustainable reductions.
