Samenvatting
SINTEF has for several years conducted a number of studies focusing driver workload and traffic safety related to in-vehicle information and communication technology (ICT)-solutions. The focus of this paper will be on development of user-friendly, traffic safe and efficient Traffic and Transport Information (TTI) messages. Further important issues related to data acquisition and processing according to standards, integration of in-vehicle services and pre-trip information will be discussed, illustrated with results from an ongoing project, carried out for Telenor Mobil AS, with a 40% funding from The Research Council of Norway.
