The impact of coloured surfacing on car drivers' compliance with bus and cycle lanes.

This paper presents the results of studies carried out in Scotland into the effect of coloured surfacing on bus and cycle lane compliance. The empirical investigation was carried out due to the lack of the apparent lack of literature. Details of the methodology and site selection are given (for both bus and cycle lanes) along with tables of results and conclusions from the studies are drawn with suggestions for further study.
