Results of a variety of studies pertaining to the impact of recent changes in the highway safety environment are presented. Major areas investigated include (1) Shoulder belt usage: (2) Effect of errors on estimates of seat belt effectiveness; (3) Speed limits; (Crash-worthiness; and (5) Examinations of pre-crash factors.
