Samenvatting

A total of 106 impact experiments were performed on 17 human cadavers in order to determine the dynamic response of the human skull and facial bones. The specimens were both embalmed and unembalmed, male and female. Unembalmed material showed no tendency to be weaker in general than embalmed material. Females, as a group, tended to have a lower tolerance to applied force than did the male specimens.
