Samenvatting

The major control functions (of considerable importance to integrated DRT and conventional transit systems) are reviewed, and alternatives being implemented or are realistic possibilities for the future are presented. Control functions are composed of information transfer, and decision-making functions. Although the majority of DRT operations now uses voice communication for driver instructions, digital communication will become the usual option for large integrated systems.
