Samenvatting

The Evidential Breath Gas Chromatography based on a fuel cell detector is effective in separating and detecting the presence of all the simple aliphatic alcohol's and aldekydes present in a breath sample in a reasonable time. The particular advantage of using a fuel cell detector over conventional gas chromatography detectors is that air from a simple pump can be used as carrier gas avoiding the use of bulky gas cylinders tence simplifying the instrument.
