Samenvatting

The integrated dynamic network and intersection on-line control model MOTION comprises several innovative elements. Dynamically estimated origin-destination information provides the optimisation modules with actual data on intersection and network streams. Green waves are determined for the actually prevailing traffic streams in the network. The intersection optimisation adAPTS stage sequence and split within the restrictions set by network control. MOTION also comprises automatic incident detection and corresponding control reactions, and a highly flexible concept for public transport priority to be given to any degree desired. (A)
