Improving safety and mobility for older people. A TRB study.

The Transportation Research Board is planning a major, 2- year study to review research on and experience with older drivers and pedestrians and to recommend action that should be taken in anticipation of future population characteristics. Once the necessary support arrangements are completed, TRB will assemble a committee of experts in gerontology, human factors, highway engineering, law, vehicle design, traffic operations, public transportation, driver licensing, driver education, and other fields.
