Samenvatting

There is a theoretical efficiency gain in city goods distribution. The objective of incentive driven city freight logistics is to develop relevant key performance indicators that can be captured automatically from the participating transport and shipping companies. These data will be sent to a common database in a neutral format enabling key performance indicators that will serve as a common benchmark. For the participating companies the key performance indicators will serve as feedback to the reporting companies where the companies with better performance than average will receive positive incentives that will further stimulate improved distribution efficiency.
