Samenvatting
To obtain valid guidelines for the treatment of fractures of the lower leg, 93 patients were assessed who had been treated conservatively. After an average of 7 years, the residual functional limitations were correlated to the age, length of immobilization, localization of the fracture and type. It became evident that especially unstable fractures needed long periods of immobilization and subsequently showed frequent permanent limitations of joint mobolity.
