Samenvatting

Application of low quality aggregate to asphalt pavements requires careful consideration of factors causing insufficient adhesion of bitumen to these aggregate material. This paper presents results of a research project regarding the influence of different adhesive additions - anionic and cationic - in thin films on a surface of two different aggregates: limestones and granite. The object was to determine, in one single research scheme, two important features of the binder: the cohesive and adhesive properties.
