Samenvatting

Questions like frequency and severity of injuries for various body parts as well as injury frequency and severity caused by exterior car parts were discussed. The influence of car parameters like front shape, front length and curbmass were investigated. Special attention is paid to the question of the optimal bumper height under consideration of injuries by the bumper as well as under consideration of the overall injury of the pedestrian.
