Samenvatting

The influence of advisory letters on driving behaviour has been studied at eleven urban intersections. Regular observation was carried out at these intersections, concentrating on two types of incorrect driving behaviour. Three types of letters were used graded according to the degree of threat. A reduction of 20-25% in the rate of driving errors was shown.
