Samenvatting
The author reviews the literature on the effect of speed limits to examine the quantitative relationship between mean speed reduction and injury accidents in order to explore the evidence for a correlation and suggest explanations of the results which may be avenues for further research. The author also considers the effect of changes in level of enforcement on accident rate.
