In the framework of land use there is a need for a more systematic information on highways and traffic, in particular the project preparations (e. g. highway structural note, evaluation of highway planning) and a more general policy preparation on different levels. The development of an Information system for mapping the need for highways, the land use, the environment impact, etc. is described.
