Samenvatting
This report containt an evaluation of the literature about deteriorated information processing capacities of elderly people. Also the consequences for traffic participation are evaluated. One of the consequences of functional decline of elderly people is an increasing traffic unsafety from about age 60. With respect to maintaining safety and mobility of elderly traffic participants it was concluded that traffic authorities have to aim at uniform and infra-structural solutions, simple rules and correspondence to expectations of road users.
