Information reaching the driver from the road via the sense organs lead to measurable changes in responsiveness. For various reasons the result can be overloading of available capacity. Because of a high technical input the necessity for mustering the mechanics of the vehicle has already been reduced to a minimum. On the other hand, the stream of information about the environment is so comprehensive that is raises the question of a possible reduction in the density of information received. From the relevant medical viewpoint, the processing of internal information gains particular significance in a traffic context.
