This paper is the summary of motivations, findings and conclusions achieved in international co-operation project called INDEM (INtegrated DElivery Management). INDEM is part of TEDIM (www.tedim.com) development programme, which is a forum where several international projects have been combined in order to devise and co-ordinate smoother solutions for international trade and logistics by using telematics alongside more traditional tools. This paper has been written for persons interested about a jointly developed concept for delivery management in total supply and transport chain in co-operation between various supply chain partners. Also experiences of implementing joint playing rules in pilots are reported together with leading industrial, trade and transport service companies in North Europe.
