Samenvatting

This paper evaluates a number of stabilised road pavements constructed over the past twelve years. The reasons for selecting the process, observed performance, in situ deflection, back analysed stiffness and a review of design assumptions are discussed. Both deep and shallow lift pavements using a variety of cementitious and bituminous binders have been considered. A number of characteristic performance indicators and distress mechanisms associated with the process and design are discussed. Recommendations for change are made and project costs and asset management strategies are given to support an investment in the technology. (A)
