Samenvatting

A unique tool for driver, vehicle, and roadway evaluation studies is described. Integration of a vehicle lateral position tracking device with sophisticated instrumentation which measures driving behaviour in the vehicle provides information relative to the dynamic interaction of vehicle and changing roadway. Lightness of weight, relatively low cost, portability, and high sampling speed were design objectives met in system development.
