Despite the increasing amount of information there is still a degree of uncertainty regarding the extent of injury and injury cost reduction due to the automatic restraint system. As an example, data from crash test, insurance companies and case studies involving Volkswagen Rabbit equipped with both automatic and manual seat belts is reviewed and evaluated.
