A four-year State and City planning project has been undertaken in Singapore to: (1) prepare a long-range, comprehensive, land use and transport plan to guide the future physical and development; (2) prepare a policy and programme for urban renewal and a mass transit system; and (3) assist in the preparation of plans and specifications for implementing projects in the framework.
