Integration of innovative functions and technologies in an advanced urban traffic control system.

Some possible improvements of Urban Traffic Control (UTC) and management systems, which may result from the introduction of new technologies, are presented. In particular, improvements on U.T.C., arising from the integration of bi- directional communication links between cars and road- side equipments are described.
