This series of brochures gives an overview of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and then presents ITS applications and goals according to the following categories: metropolitan areas commercial vehicles, rural areas, and the Intelligent Vehicle Initiative (IVI). Benefits that can be achieved by ITS applications are also discussed.
