Samenvatting

The purpose of the study is to determine the relative importance of some pedestrian/vehicle/environment factors in solving the pedestrian/vehicle conflict at crossings, and in particular, to investigate the behaviour of the driver. Trained pedestrians were used in the study and crossed a real road at two different sites according to a predetermined plan. The results of the study are presented in tabulated form, and their implications discussed.
