Samenvatting
TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board 1873 includes preliminary results of an experimental economics application to urban goods modeling research, methodology for modeling a road network with high truck volumes generated by vessel freight activity from an intermodal facility, formulas for estimating the average distance traveled in vehicle routing problems in elliptic zones, and current challenges for intermodal freight transport and logistics in Europe and the United States. The papers contained in this volume were among those presented at the 83rd Annual Meeting of the Transportation Research Board in January 2004.
